  • A carp cradle or fully padded, cushioned-sided unhooking mat must be used and fully wetted before use
  • When removing a carp from the water, fold the landing net within the retainer or weigh sling and ensure all fins are flat to the body before lifting
  • All fish must be placed directly into a carp cradle or fully padded, cushioned-sided unhooking mat
  • Fish must only be handled for photographs below waist height and over a carp cradle or fully padded, cushioned-sided unhooking mat
  • Keep fish out of the water for the minimum time possible
  • All carp must be returned to the water as soon as possible after weighing and photographs
